Now, I don’t know about you, but I love finding out what people’s favourites of the month are. I seem to spend ages on YouTube looking at what Vloggers/YouTubers all love throughout the month so I thought I’d do the same for my blog. Obviously it was Christmas last month so I’ve also put in a few of the items I received as gifts now I’ve had time to try them. These are all items that I have loved throughout December as well a few random extras.
Jo
Malone Cologne- Vanilla and Anise

When it comes to perfumes, I am not a big fan of overly sickly sweet smells and I feel as though I’ve found my true love in the perfume world with Jo Malone’s Vanilla and Anise Cologne. It smells fresh, yet has a spicy and woody undertone which was exactly what I was looking for. Ultimately, it’s the perfect winter smell if you’re after something slightly muskier but also has that certain level of sweetness. I’ve heard they may discontinue this soon, which does make my heart break a little bit inside, so buy one before they’re gone!

MAC Diva Lipstick and Burgandy Lip Liner

The Instax Mini 8 polaroid camera wasn't a new purchase in December, I actually got it a while ago, but I used it all the time last month. There's something quite sentimental about having a physical printed picture with loved ones near Christmas time. I took it to Christmas parties and when I met up with friends and got some beautiful little pictures that I've put up all around my room. As well as looking so cute hung up like mini bunting (they've got little lines and pegs available in Urban if you're interested in hanging your own!) I've put them in Thank You cards to send to relatives for my Christmas presents to add a little sentimental value.
MAC Diva Lipstick and Burgandy Lip Liner
A berry
lip for winter is not exactly ground breaking, however I have been wearing
these two products together throughout all of December. The colour itself has
more of a warmer red colouring compared to others that I’ve found which have
had more of a plum tone. It’s highly pigmented, creamy and has a strong colour
even after just one layer. I’ve teamed it with the MAC Burgandy lipliner to get
that more precise clean edge, making it my go-to lipstick throughout December
for a darker and more intense look.
Not
That Kind of Girl, Lena Dunham
I
got this for Christmas last year, and for some bizarre reason I’ve only just
got round to reading it last month. I’ve not seen Girls before and I wanted to read this book before I watched it as
I feel as though everyone within the fashion industry has seemed to fallen a
bit in love with Lena Dunham. Now I have too. Funny, unapologetically blunt,
unashamed to highlight those moments in her past that others would want to
forget, she’s the ultimate role model for landing a successful job by being
yourself- and not what everyone else wants you to be.
New
Balance 580 Mono

I live in trainers. From Nike’s, Converses to New Balances I hate being uncomfortable so trainers are my saviours. These are the latest contribution to my ever-growing shoe collection: the New Balance 580 Mono’s. Personally I usually go for less ‘clumpy’ looking trainers, as in a way I feel as though these look a bit chunkier on my feet compared to other styles I’ve got, however after seeing the coolest chick in London wearing a similar style I just had to have a pair. Beyond comfy, an amazing plum burgundy colour and easy to wear, these are my go to when worn with black ripped jeans, rock tee and leather jacket.
Justin
Bieber, Purpose
2015 was definitely the year of the Biebs. Somehow he’s managed to change everybody’s opinion of him and create an album that I think everyone had on constantly throughout December (apart from the Christmas songs, obvz.) The album itself moves away from the sickly sweet Baby pop that I used to despise, and into a more mature sound with a distinct R&B influence. The album also features an acoustic version of What Do You Mean that really showcases Biebers amazing vocals… He’s definitely converted me into ‘belieber’ and I am by no means ashamed #TeamBiebs

Blog
of the month- Love Cloth
I
had the pleasure of working with Kim when I recently completed my three-month
internship at Jack Wills. As well as falling a little bit in love with her
Irish accent and sense of humour, I fell completely in love with her blog.
Beautiful imagery, incredible outfits and an Instagram I’d kill for. She is
my girl crush so go and give her blog some lovin'.
