Valentines Gift Guide: The Girlfriend

As promised last week I’m putting together a little Valentines Day series based all around gift ideas for all your loved ones. Today is all about the ladies. I’ve got gift ideas from art and design inspired items, cheeky pieces of lingerie to small novelty gifts which will hopefully make her love the gifts you give her. Let me know on the comments below what you think! So, lets get started

The Art and Design Lover

1- Bluebella Julianna Pyjama Set: Any art and design lover knows it’s all about the details. Made of a beautiful sheer fabric with lace details and scallop hem this romantic pyjama set will be to everyone’s taste. Super cute and also wearable everyday unlike some notoriously kinky Valentines Day attire!
2- Golden Dotted Planner: Organisation is always vital. Keep them on time and schedule with the duck egg blue planner foiled in beautiful dotted gold.
3- Designsix Crystal Petal Ear Cuff: With a gold-tone finish and stone embellishment, this will make a perfect statement piece day or night
4- Yr Store Personalised Scarf: We are all unique, so why buy something off the rail that someone else already has? Create your own individual scarf or T-Shirt from one of my favourite new brands, Yr Store.
5- Diptyque Freesia Candle: The Instagram/Blogger firm favourite and still one of the leaders in the candle sector. Get your loved one inspired by spring with the fresh smell of peppery white freesias.
6- Charlotte Tillbury Matte Revolution Lipstick inGlastonberry: Not many colours can match Tillbury’s Glastonberry. Yes its spring and we should be going for a naturally flushed neutral look, but if you can’t vamp it up on Valentines Day with a deep berry lip, when can you?
7- Mr Brainwash Fragile Heart Mug: As a good friend of the beloved Banksy, I’ve always been a massive Mr Brainwash fan. I love the bold and brash graphic design on this heart mug and its bound to give any artist or designer a flash of inspiration when looking further into his work.
8- Copper Star Terrarium Planter: As well as being inspired by vivid patterns and colour, feel inspired by the wonderful textures that can be made in a Terrarium. Even if you don’t use the Terrarium for your future cactus’ it makes an awesome architectural addition to a coffee table.
9- Rose Card: Don’t forget to get a card! Quill London creates some of the most beautiful graphic cards so pimp yours up with a three-dimensional card for your arty favourite.

The Foodie
I am a massive foodie: from baking and cooking to eating anything on my plate I love food. If your girlfriend is a bit like me I've got some food-based ideas that could be bought as a little Valentines Day present. And hey, she may even cook you dinner after this new source of inspiration. Winning!

1- Measuring Spoons: Get the measurements perfect every time with these beautiful stoneware scoops decorated in bright colours and unique patterns
2- NutriBullet: If she’s more about the health hype then nothing can beat a NutriBullet to make the best kick ass smoothies going
3- Pink Champagne Truffles: A personal favourite of mine plus the pink heart packaging make it the perfect gift on Valentines Day (I challenge you to try and resist eating them all at once…)
4- I Love You Cookie Stamp: If she is a baking enthusiast this is such a cute little accessory to add to the ever-growing baking section in your kitchen. Throw together some cookies and stamp them with a mark of luuuurve
5- The Pocket Garden Hot Stuff Chilli Seeds Grow Pouch: Make your own ingredients with these Pocket Garden chilli seeds
6- Mason Cash Pudding Basin: I love this university-inspired stonewear pudding bowl. It’s the perfect size for making the best treacle sponge pudding and wouldn’t look out of place in any kitchen
7- Highgate Rose Weighing Scales: I’m a sucker for anything floral inspired and Cath Kidston have nailed it as usual with these duck egg blue/mint weighing scales.
8- Deliciously Ella: This is the next recipe book I am going to purchase. It’s packed with delicious recipes tasty deserts to food on the go that are all designed around natural foods that taste great.
9- Lucerne Kitchen Apron: Is she a fan of vintage and the old school pin up girls? Make her look the ultimate chef with the daintiest and prettiest of aprons from Anthropologie.

All Night Long
As a holiday that's completely orientated around love, the chances of *ahem* lovin' is probably quite high. Get into the mood and pick up some beautiful new lingerie that will make her ooze confidence and look incredible in the process. Admittedly, they may not stay on that long but she'll be looking on point before things get steamy (fire emoji.)

1- ASOS Chiffon Trim Satin Teddy: I love that teddies have suddenly become such a big trend in nightwear, I think it’s because we’ve all also fallen for bodies to wear during the day. I love the plunge front on this teddy and the satin fabric makes it the ideal slinky night piece.
2- Victoria Eyelash Halter Bra: I’ve always thought that Urban Outfitters do great bras. They have such a wide selection of cute unpadded bras no matter what your preference in style and colour is. This one is by Out From Under and I really like the cutout in the halter neck at the front and the minimal styling at the back
3- Embroidered Floral Body: This body is a thing of beauty. With a mesh style fabric allowing all the skin in the right places with a feminine floral embroidered detail on the chest.
4- Eyelash Lace Blindfold: Again this is a great high street product that looks luxury but is only £10.00. Spice it up with this beautiful white lace blindfold from ASOS.
5- Multipack Brazillian Briefs: I love the bold colours of this three pack brazillian style briefs. The back of the knickers features a cute open back detail that would look so beautiful on and any your bum look super peachy.
6- Calvin Klein Tinted Rose Crop Top: If she isn’t into lace and mesh styles and has more of a sport influenced style you cant beat Calvin Klein bras. Avoid the standard grey, white and black and get them in the extra romantic tinted rose.
7- Delicate Lace Crop Top and Knickers: This set is for the girly girls. Coming in a beautiful pink shade, high neck bra with mesh style cut out and an eyelash design on the briefs it’s the fairytale lingerie set for the inner romantics.
8- Missguided Lace and Gold Ring Underwear: Missguided have recently launched their lingerie designs and they’ve got a great spread of bras and knickers for no more than £15 each. This is a great basics set that would look amazing on Valentines Day but also basic enough to wear everyday.

Novelties
Not really bothered by all the romantic stuff and you wanted something a bit funnier? Personally I love an offensive card (scribbler does the best ) and small novelties so I’ve found a few that that will go down a hit and won't break the bank.

1- Mould Your Own Boyfriend: Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure your girlfriend loves you very much but she may need to mould a new boyf to take her anger out on when you come in drunk from the pub and wake her up at 1 in the morning.
2- Kermit and Miss Piggy Socks: The original sassy couple grinning up at her will beat any Monday or humpday bues
3- Bacon Passport Holder: Because we haven’t had enough bacon love just yet
4- Beyonce and Jay Z tea towel: Add a fun contribution to your kitchen with this kitschy cool tea towel #FLAWLESS
5- What I Love About You Book: Get all cute and soppy with this little fill in book about what you love about your other half. Do it together and keep it as a little memory book.
6- I’m Swayze About You Card: Every girl fancied Patrick Swayze when he was in dirty dancing so it’d be rude to not let her indulge in her childhood crush
7- Heart Fluffy Pom Key Ring: Pimp up her car keys with this baby pink heart fluffy pom pom key ring. Loving the legally blonde vibes.
8- Sexy Truth Or Dare Kit: Pretty self explanatory, but could be interesting after you’ve nailed all that prosecco with your boozy romantic meal
9- All You Need Is Vodka: In the words of Bridget Jones ‘I choose vodka… And Chaka Khan'
10- Heart Chocker: Just in case she hasn’t got the message, buy her a necklace of hearts so she feels the love all day long.

So there we have it! Whether you've stumbled accross this post to get some present ideas for your girlfriend or you needed some inspiration to drop some not so subtle hints to your boyfriend about some potential gifts, I hope it has been useful!

What are your plans for Valentines Day this year?

A x
